antsy little hands to do. Movies can only entertain kids for so long, naps are too short, and they can’t snack all day. Whether traveling by car or plane, keeping kids entertained is key to your sanity (and other travelers too)! These 75 travel tips and activities will keep the whole family happy!

75 Terrific Travel Tips & Activities from Makeovers & Motherhood

When preparing for our first looooooong road trip to Orlando, FL a couple years ago, I reached out to my blogging friends and asked for their help in finding travel tips and activities for traveling with children. Our boys were ages 5, 3 1/2, and 1.5 years old. And boy, did those tips and kid activities come in handy! So much so that I just had to share them with you! We have since done two more 23-hour road trips and a flight from Chicago to LA. These activities have been travel savers for sure!

I will tell you that you won’t find 75 tips listed out below. Some things are better straight from the horse’s mouth. So you’ll find links to some fabulous blogs that share their fantastic travel tips and activities in detail!

A no brainer travel tip… pack lots and lots and LOTS of snacks for the kiddos. Make sure to include different textures and flavors to keep snack time from being boring. Think drinkable yogurt, cheese sticks, and fruit such as sliced apples, berries, and grapes. Or go for healthy All Natural No Bake Cookie Balls, or sweet Chocolate Cranberry Cheerio Bars, or little nibbles like Puppy Chow. And if you really want to heat up snack time, go for Spicy Jalapeño Pretzels! Remember that kids grumble less with full bellies!
