I’m so excited to be sharing our first recipe on our Food Makeover section of Makeovers & Motherhood! Best yet, it requires little prep work and is simple, but is a big hit with the kiddos! My oldest son loved this recipe so much he asked for another large helping of it! Even our picky 20-month old chowed down! This mommy was so happy I couldn’t wait to share!
So here it is… our simple Crispy Baked Chicken!
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 ½ cups FRENCH’S ® Original French Fried Onions (or try their Cheddar French Fried Onions)
¾ cup Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. onion powder
1 Tbsp. dry mustard
Crush French Fried Onions, then combine with the Parmesan cheese, onion powder, and dry mustard.
Cut chicken in half or into strips. (I like to do this to make sure the chicken cooks through and so the pieces aren’t so large for my kids.)
Coat chicken with dry ingredients, pressing firmly to adhere. (If you prefer, dip chicken into egg; then coat with dry ingredients.) Place chicken on baking sheet or a glass baking dish.
Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
