So it’s Spring Break in our house and it’s been a quiet one. My two oldest boys are spending part of the week with Grandma & Grandpa and are enjoying their one-on-one time and being completely spoiled by them… a playplace, the park, lots of games & crafts, and a trip to Chuck E. Cheese in just two and a half days! So I’m taking some time and spoiling myself with some downtime. I took a few days off from blogging, have gone to Zumba every day, spent extra time holding, playing with & rocking Ethan, and gone on two dates with the hubby! And now… pouring over all the great reads from last week’s link-up! Oh my goodness, there were soooooo many good ones it was hard to pick just 3! So I’m pinning lots of them and will be sharing some on Facebook! I hope you’re enjoying your Spring Break too and get some time to spoil yourself and the kids!

10 Ways to Teach Kids About Easter from The Mosaic Life
How Decluttering Can Give Back to You from Rediscovered Families
I am always striving for a decluttered, organized home because, frankly, clutter makes me crazy. It’s overwhelming to me. It makes me feel busy and cramped. But it also takes my time away from my family. That definitely doesn’t mean my house is spotless, but I’d rather spend time with my boys & hubby than picking up. This post emphasizes how giving up clutter actually gives back your priorities! Please read this one!
Serving with Kids: Making Placemats for Meals on Wheels from Africa to America
So much can be said about serving others… it blesses them, it allows you to share your talents and to show love to others, it builds character, and so much more! I love this simple service act of making placemats for Meals on Wheels! My great-grandma and my grandma both received Meals on Wheels. Some days it was the only face-to-face connection they had… and they looked forward to it every day. Can you imagine what a fun surprise a homemade placemat gift from a child would mean to them?! It almost makes me tear up thinking about it. This is one activity our family will definitely be doing!
Let’s get this week’s party started!
Thank you so much for featuring our placemats service activity! You have a beautiful blog and I’m honored to be featured here!
Thank you so much for the compliment, Carly! And thank you for linking here! I hope we see more of your wonderful ideas every week!
Thank you so much for featuring the ways to teach kids about Easter post! It was my prayer that it would reach lots of homes with littles this year so that more and more people can be intentional about teaching their children the truths of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection and have the tools to do so.
LeeAnn, I loved all the ideas you gave for teaching kids about Easter. There is nothing more than important as teaching them this truth! Thank you for sharing here! I too pray that many families will be blessed by it.
