Hello Wednesday! Hello friends! Hello sunshine! Ahhhh… this beautiful spring weather has refreshed our whole house! Nothing beats getting outside in the fresh air. And already, we’ve had lots of it! With the arrival of spring, also arrived my realization of how big my boys are getting. My youngest has already mastered climbing the ladder of the playset and joyfully sticks his head out the clubhouse window yelling, “Hello, Mommy!” before descending down the slide with a huge smile on his face. My middle child, who last summer depended on his big brother to swing the glider, has taken over as the leader and now entertains a hysterically laughing Ethan as his partner on the ride. And Connor, our oldest, is more interested in helping Daddy and using the large shovel to scoop up the remains of last fall’s leaves than playing on the playset. Likewise, the art he drew in the van during our Easter travels with his new marker and paper set no longer resembled the scribblings of a toddler, but now showed his creativity and details of an almost Kindergartener. All this to say, time goes so fast and as the seasons change, I am awakened and wowed by the skills of my children and realize how fast they grow and how precious my time is with them.
Each week as our Welcome Party Wednesday Link-Up comes around, I look forward to the fresh new ideas of the season of art and activities to do with the boys. And as they grow, my longing for more time with them grows too and I love to soak in the words of parenting wisdom shared here. Thank you to all my contributing blogging friends, both old and new. And to my readers, I hope you enjoy our Wednesdays together as much as I do!

Wow… this post was so right on that it felt as if Kayla from The Chaos and The Clutter was speaking to me or about me! Too often I let “obstacles” get in the way from being the mom I really want, hope, and desire to be. And most of those obstacles are put in place by me, by my agenda, and my selfishness! Ouch! This post was both convicting and eye opening for me. Please, please, please, dear moms, take a minute and read this one!
This post is just endearing and heart warming. As mommies, we have a tremendous, unparalleled love for our little ones. Sometimes, we just need to find creative ways to show it. I love that a simple love note on the sidewalk can be so powerful and builds the most powerful bonds!
Nothing says spring like the chirping of birds singing their morning lullaby. Last spring, a bird made it’s nest in the fork of the tree outside my window. The boys and I had great fun watching the babies as they awkwardly poked their beaks in the air and begged for momma to bring them breakfast. So tonight as I watched a pregnant Robin outside our dining room window, I secretly hoped she would once again make a home next to our home and allow us to watch her young while she was out of the nest. Until then, we will happily welcome spring with adorable crafts like this one.
Let’s get this week’s party started!
