Every Wednesday I try to give you a little sneak peak into our lives. This week, I would call the “To-Do-List-Never-Ends” week! We had lots of fun last week and this week we’re not only catching up, but also starting some fun new projects. Thankfully, my hubby is taking on our a biggest project… terracing the 4′ hill on the side of our house so we can plant a garden this spring. But, we’ve all been enjoying the fresh air and the dirt as we’re preparing the ground… and finding new homes (safe from shovels) for all the baby worms we’ve met!
And for you, friends, here are some fun new items I’ll be sharing with you… have you been checking out the Food Makeovers portion of the blog? We’ve had some tasty recipes that even my boys love! PLUS… with Mother’s Day coming up, I’ve partnered with several of my blogging friends who are going giveaway crazy! I want YOU to have the chance to win some fabulous prizes! All I can say is keep watching and keep entering!
Now, onto the Welcome Party Wednesday Link-Up… This is a place where other fantastic bloggers can come share fun and fresh new ways to makeover your heart and home! In other words… anything that makes family life easier or more fun is what the link-up is all about! Each week I’ll pick my 3 favorite posts from the previous week’s link-up for you to enjoy! Posts must be family friendly and can include the topics of…
- Kid’s activities and crafts
- Family fun activities
- DIY home projects
(Please do not link giveaways, other link ups, and paid product reviews. I reserve the right to delete any links that do not adhere to this requirement.) If you link up, please…

Need a renewed parenting perspective? This post from Rediscovered Families was a great reminder of the joy we should consider it to be able to pick toys up off the floor (for the millionth time today) and to have those piles of laundry that can feel daunting. This is the only chance we have to spend with our kids. Right here, right now. Please make sure to watch the video. I had to fight back tears! Thank you, Sharon, for the great reminder of what a blessing it is to be a parent!
I can’t tell you how much I love this post. My hubby & I took the Crown Financial Ministries’ class at our church, and then taught it twice. I was a spender, he was a saver. Our finance class was a good ‘neutral’ ground to talk about finances and financial goals in a peaceful and practical way… and we are still (5 years later) working on a good, solid plan together. You may want to use Wendy’s tips as the starting point for your journey to financial freedom or as a good ‘neutral’ discussion starter with your significant other.
Tell me these cards aren’t just adorable? What mom or grandma wouldn’t love to receive one of these for Mother’s Day? And… not only are they cute, but super simple to make! These are my favorite kinds of crafts!
Let’s get this week’s party started!
